Spent the morning in IKEA. Where everything we needed is stuck on a boat somewhere. Gas is down to $5.35, big whoop. And it’s going to hit 90 degrees today, Thursday. Life is …interesting.

National Beer Day. Not for me, not unless you put a “root” in front of that beer. Root beer I can do!

National Alcohol Screening Day. I think that’s funny, coming on National Beer Day.

National Coffee Cake Day

National No Housework Day. It’s my day off from work, and I really, really need to do housework today. My living room is a mess and my kitchen is even worse. Housework is right at the top of my to-do list for today.

I saw a big bird while driving to work yesterday. Just barely caught a glimpse of it so I can’t even describe it, but it looked like a crane or heron. I wish I had gotten a better look! I see them now and then, but very rarely. Probably an average of one every 3 or 4 years.

Fred and LJ apparently encountered a cranky skunk on our late afternoon walk yesterday. It took more than 2 hours of bathing with 4 bottles of hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda and palmolive, and a borrowed bottle of Natures Miracle Skunk Odor Removal before most of the odor was gone. We had just moved off the dirt road into some trees to let a truck pass when they started rolling in dirt and rubbing their faces. I never saw the skunk and there was no odor in the air.

I posted late yesterday a reference to the cutest strip from July 27, 2012 – Lily and Chesney formally dressed in black for court proceedings.

How is Queen doing? We haven’t heard from her!

I’ve not been doing well at all. Last night was the first time in a while where I wasn’t screaming and crying in pain. On Tues night, I almost took myself to the hospital again. I’d closed the bedroom door and just screamed into the pillow bent over the bed. That went on for hours. Nothing helped the pain – not oxy, not meloxocam or any of the other pain meds the doc gave me. Poor LROS gets my texts…she should just turn me off. Monday can’t come soon enough.

That being said, yesterday was a pretty OK day. I managed to finish a quilt for Brads’ supervisor. I have to go out for a good portion of today and have loaded up my purse with drugs.

I love little Oliver in his prison suit. His little hat is adorable. We have prison nearby and their outfits are green and white stripes with hats just like Olivers’.

Annie needs to have a little talk to Oliver about Chesney.

Too cute!! Oliver is such a sucker…but a cute one!

Poor little Ollie. His innocence is endearing, yet it makes him a target for stinkers like Chesney.

Thank you, everyone, for the concern and good wishes. I will think happy thoughts and picture little Oliver as I go under on Monday. He’s enough to make any cat person smile.

Nice outfit, Oliver. Still, he really shouldn’t believe Chesney’s lies. On another note, saw three juncos, a rabbit, and a robin while out walking today.
