    Hey, Cappers. I’m back! And a very Happy Easter/Passover to all of you!

    I’m happy to say that I successfully completed Lent which involved giving up all social media including GoComics. However I did always say that I wouldn’t beat myself up if I didn’t manage to complete Lent. God loves a tryer after all.

    I really missed you all so much. I want to do Lent next year as well but I will be giving up something else.

    On 12th April, I donated blood. I’m waiting to find out which lucky hospital will be storing my “crimson nectar” (I stole that) I will recieve a text and email saying where it’s gone.

    I’m off to bed now. I will reply to everyone when I come back this evening. I love you all! Great to be back.

    P.S I heard through the grapevine that some of you were expecting me back on Monday. That was the original plan but our very good friend RJM persuaded me to return on Easter Sunday instead and surprise you all. We planned my return together. Just the two of us. Hehe.

    “The beauty of this incident Governor is the cellar’s where they keep the beer in’t. Well, I took stock of the situation and decided I needed to take an inventory. Just in case any of the brews were mislabeled, if you know what I mean. Kinda’ like a public service.”

    I thought The Cellar was the name of another pub.

    Eldo and rjm, I hope you’re enjoying Passover.

    And Happy Easter to the rest of you readers.

    While you were in the cellar Andy, did you see any miss-labeled kegs or bottles down there?

    @Linguist

    A bit of a mess, too, as i did’nt realize the City had installed a “Owner-proof” shut-off Water Main,

    Whether the valve is in the yard, down a tube that needs the 5 “hexxed” socket on a metal stick to operate, as ours was years ago where I grew up, or some fancy “fool proof” valve in the house; you need to install a user operated valve after their mess and before all of yours. Quarter turn valves answer the purpose pretty well and there are other configurations that can be better and more costly but the quarter turn works pretty good. I find that if you don’t run them back and forth once in awhile they tend to get froze in place. Must be the ming-rals in the water is whawt does it.

    The washer outlets should be done like this:   https://images.thdstatic.com/productImages/1654e888-e832-490c-be9a-8838dc98c31b/svn/oatey-washing-machine-valves-38528-64_400.jpg … Whether external or as depicted in the photo.

    Alan and Andy always address each other by name which suggests that they knew one another before Alan became a cop.

    I mentioned last week (Palm Sunday) that I was looking forward to my chocolate eggs. I have received four today – a dark chocolate egg and three milk chocolate eggs. I hope to span each egg out to about a week each so that the four eggs will last through April and into mid-May. I will start on one of the eggs after my chicken dinner so I will have had a chicken dinner with part of a chocolate egg as desert.

    I wouldn’t be surprised if Andy helped himself to some bottles of ale while down in the cellar. By the way, Happy Easter/Passover, Cappers! Oh, and welcome back, Number Three. :)
