One of the things I learned early in working for a vet is that dogs don’t appreciate lexical fine points. Most of them don’t seem to know what even basic “arf” means: “No, no! I said ‘Arf!’ It’s… No, your other arf!”
Cats, meanwhile, know what “meow” means,* but they’re fussy about pronunciation: “Seriously? Where did you learn to speak Cat? TikTok?”
*Also “arf,” apparently, though cats mostly sneer at the dogs’ accents. “Where’s Professor Higgins when you need him?”
Huskies have a wide range of sounds. Our first husky could clearly say “out”. He also understood the human word “out”. But I could never get him to connect the two and say “out” when that was what he wanted.

My dogs had different barks for “warning”, “where are you?”, “pay attention”…..

I don’t think this is what they mean by “paper training.”
