A paid sick day? As in ONE day? IF, and I do mean IF, you get sick days, you have to save them for “real” illnesses, colds don’t make the grade. Oh, you could stay home the worst day, but, colds aren’t orderly, you could be even worse off the day after you sacrificed a sick day to a mere cold. People bang on about “going to work sick, when you should stay home”, like it’s some big workaholic thing. Most of us, it’s the money, we just can’t afford to be missing a day, so we struggle thru it, going to work until we’re so sick we can’t afford to NOT stay home, hoping that doesn’t happen.
