For the two of them to get some alone time was necessary.

Unfortunately, too many African-Americans never learn how to swim. It’s a lifesaving life skill that every kid should know before kindergarten.

Somehow I don’t think it would work as well for Crunchy and Captain Ruiz!

Ruiz could use some time off, herself.

Good advices. Both of them.

My own husband never learned how to swim, so a boat ride by canoe is out, I did learn in HS as was required yet never went swimming again, and do not go out on boat rides.

Be prepared.

why do we never see captain Ruiz in uniform?

I like Joe’s assumption that if Crunchy takes his wife rowboating, she will throw him overboard.
