From the locations in yesterday and today’s strips, I believe Monty lives in Ewing Township, Mercer County NJ. There is an Aldi’s and Taco Bell in close proximity making it easy to go to one then the other. The public stables at nearby Chesterfield Farm would provide “El Diablo”. He rode East from Mercer county, through Monmouth and eventually turned North to end up in East Brunswick in Middlesex County. If he’d gone West he would’ve been in PA.I’ve known Monty is somewhere near me in Central Jersey from places mentioned in the strip. I think this pins him down.Doing this research makes me feel a bit Monty-ish, TBH. LOL!

And Monty needs to lose the “chaps”.

I tried to give the horse a name so it could respond to my commands, but it didn’t understand Longshoremen vernacular.

He should have taken the turnpike…

I’m impressed that Monty stayed on the horse as long as he did.

Wow if Monty stuck to the back of that bronco for all that way, perhaps he has what it takes to really be a cowboy after all!

This cowboy arc has lasted a week now, and I haven’t laughed once.

If they wore boots back in my high school days, we called them “Kickers”.

’Whoa" how appropriate.

A horse with no name wasn’t available, as there aren’t any deserts in NJ.

I know the feeling. Because of my accent they always gave me the worst horse.

Too bad El Diablo didn’t toss you somewhere along the way, Cowboy Monty….

New Jersey is definitely not the wild west. There are some undeveloped pine barrens around military bases like Fort Dix.

The thing is, he went to LEARN to ride a horse?!? How did he stay on El Diablo for such a long time?!? Something sounds picean!

Monty must live in North Jersey. Which would explain a lot.
