“I’ll put it with the others.” That certainly sounds familiar. Folks got angry when leaders decided the violation of terms for an armistice didn’t matter.
Those terms required free access to any possible nuclear weapons research and development. The naysayers rightly said he might have some other reason to block verification that he wasn’t building devices individually capable of killing millions of people.
What would they have said if the other reason were why? if he had set one off in New York or Chicago or Houston or San Francisco or all of them? (Put one in one of the millions of container cars going to those ports from all over the world. Even if stopped ten miles out, that is close enough.)
