My brother takes public transportation to avoid the mess. Another reason to have more public transportion. Someday the traffic jams will be unreal.

My dad used to do the same. Never saw a complete game until I went to them with friends. But I miss him. He’d make a picnic basket, bring a big thermos of lemonade, all the things you could do before teams outlawed outside food and drink to maximize their revenues.

One should NEVER leave a game before it ends. Doubly so for a perfect game. And if you’re watching would could be a perfect game, you always, ALWAYS root for it to happen, even if it’s not your team. Because at that point, you’re rooting for baseball.

No, the manager pulled the pitcher because that’s what his Microsoft Surface Pro said he should do.

And never speak of the “perfect game” as it is happening. Jinx.

Kinda makes you wonder what the point is going to the game if you don’t see the whole game. Now if it was 12-0 in the 8th inning, and the home team is losing. But then traffic would probably be leaving with you.

Traffic is the one thing I don’t miss since I sold my car.

I used to go to an occasional football or baseball game. Two hours or more to get to the stadium. Even if you’re an early bird, lucky to find a parking space, 2 hours or more for the game. 3 hours to get home. I liked going to the SF Giants weekend day games, but they would give the big stars the day off. I did get to see Tim Lincecum pitch, but never got to see Barry Bonds bat. Going to games in person not really worth it overall. But, once there I’m not leaving early to beat the traffic.

It reminded me of my mother. She tend to leave in the 7th inning to avoid traffic! I hate that!

Spot on. We stayed for the end of a no hitter even though it was against the Cubs. It really is an awesome thing to see, the only two things I’ve seen that was better was the White Sox clinching the division in ‘83, and game 3 of the 2016 World Series at Wrigley Field.

Red & blue caps. Sound like typical Angel & Dodger fans.
