Wet butt, Dad. You too. Eddie!

I used to go fishing without a lure, just a lead sinker, because I didn’t want to catch any fish.

I used to fish with every lure and bait known to man, and NEVER CAUGHT A THING (it’s the truth!) why I gave it up!

You don’t have to clean & eat what you don’t catch.

although I do like catching a fish that can be cleaned, cooked and enjoyed, I remember being a kid and simply soaking the end of string tied to a stick. Love that Eddy brings back those memories

Any reason to fish is fine for me. REAL fishing has little to do with catching fish anyway. That’s just one of the perks…..

I really love Eddie!

Reminiscent of McElligot’s Pool, by far my favorite Dr. Seuss book (even though I never came across it until my sixties). Now withdrawn from publication, for reasons I could not begin to explain.
