If you can’t feel it in your fingers and toes you might try reading the writing on the wind. (Relatively obscure golden oldie from 1967. 50s on is relatively obscure. 40s obscure. pre-40s very obscure.)
A few years back I worked in a test facility that had an audio lab. We had two HATS systems (Human Audio Torso System), that looked essentially like crash test dummies. They were torso, head and shoulders only (henceforth the name) with no arms or legs. The mouths were calibrated speakers, and the ears were precision microphones. One day I positioned the two of them so they were facing each other at a 45° angle, took a picture and then dubbed captions onto it. It went something like this:
HATS # 1: What do you want to do tonight?
HATS # 2: I dunno…what do you want to do?
HATS # 1: We could kick the football around.
HATS # 2: I don’t have the right shoes.
HATS # 1: You don’t have any feet.
HATS# 2: Neither do you.
HATS # 1: Shut up.
I sent it around to everyone in the department. They all got a good laugh out of it.
Not that obscure, ‘Love is All Around’ has been covered quite a few times over the years, including by REM. Perhaps the most famous was the 1994 cover by Wet Wet Wet, who recorded it for the soundtrack to the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’. That version was a pretty big hit wherever the film was released and was the inspiration for the version in ‘Love Actually’.

That’s a pretty good excuse for not being able to feel them.

They say that, as you get older, the first two things to go are your memory….and…something else.
