Having being born and raised in a bigcity, those “soothing music” CD’s would not work on me!! The busier the traffic noise on the streets, the sounder I’d sleep!! It even worked when I got stationed at an USAF base with an “active flight line!!” Sometimes our “birds” would scramble in the middle of the night and I wouldnot wake up!!
Reminds me of the time many years ago when I would fall asleep with a pillow speaker hooked up to a cassette tape player andit would play Morse code practice sessions at various speeds. I know it sounds a bit weird, but I’m a kind of weird person, I suppose.
all i have to do is try to read a book at bedtime. i don’t do it anymore, but often used to wake up in the middle of the night with an open book on my face…
I have an album of rain that I listen to when I’m going to sleep. I rarely make it past the first track, but if I don’t play it I lay there not sleeping for the longest time

Brutus should give a copy of that CD to Mother Gargle. Maybe s good night’s sleep will improve her personality. Highly unlikely but worth a try.

If only there were a CD that would actually cure insomnia. I’d pay a lot of money for it.

So, you could say the first track is the most effective.
