Today is:

NATIONAL WYOMING DAY

It got really cold here Sunday night – down to 37 degrees. Yesterdays high was around 62 degrees. Sweatshirt weather when I want shorts and T-shirt weather. I still got out in my garden and hoed weeds and I planted more green beans and some sunflower seeds (so I can grow my own birdseed for fall & winter). I mowed my yard and I planted some strawberries in my yard.. So, I had a productive day. But I still wish it was warmer.

Poor Lily missing the high life.

Out of character for Lily to take no for an answer. Off with the dogs for some nice walks just outside Yosemite’s east entrance (2 hour drive) before the hordes head up for Friday’s opening.

Lily is more the "stomping around to get what she wants’ sort of kitty. Like jessegooddoggy said, this is out of character for her.

Got 4 little foster kittens yesterday. The shyest, a little grey girl, loves her some Moosie. Her brother, a little black one with a little spot of grey on his forehead, which I thought was dust, is the smallest but like Lily, thinks he’s the boss. He struts around like he owns the place. The orange siblings (boy and girl) are the larger of the 4.

Received an email this morning from Queen of America on some new fosters:

“Susan has a bunch of kittens out in foster care and she got 5 more yesterday so we had to do some juggling. One foster mom is good at working with the semi-ferals so she got those. I got her two current ones and two more that went to the shelter yesterday.

The two oranges are brother and sister. The sister isn’t as orange as her brother.

The grey one and the black ones are siblings, the grey one is the girl. Everyone gets along just fine. Susan said she’s the shyest but she LOVES Moose. Right from the first visit last she was attached to him.

The black one thinks he’s the boss. He’s the smallest of the group but struts around like he owns the place.

I should have them for about 3 weeks. That’s when spots at Best Friends will open up for getting them spayed and neutered. “

Great walk with the beasts today.

I finally got to see a whale spout, the first of the season for me. I found out that there are five harbor seal pups in the harbor, and i got to see three of them.

A goldfinch showed up at my feeder again, and i have a couple of crows accepting cat food from me!

I’ve never had caviar and probably never will. I’ve never been to Beverly Hills, either. (Or Spago, for that matter.) On another note, saw ten robins, two chickadees, two rabbits, and a Wilson’s warbler while out walking today.

A LOT of strips haven’t updated yet this morning, I wonder if something at GoComics HQ has lunched itself. Hopefully they’ll sort it out before long.
