I’m the oldest of three, and the only one not to get a family name for my middle name :( My parents wanted to do something different. Of course it seems Pamela was popular the year I was born, there were 3-5 of us in every class!

My sister has our oldest cousin’s middle name, and my brother has our father’s middle name which is also Grandpa’s first nam

I’m named after a great grandfather on my father’s side and a reat grandfather on my mother’s side. If we had followed the same tradition when my son was born, he would have been named Richard Richard…

I was named for my great-grandfather. My older brother and I have the first names that our Dad wished he’d had. He was not going to give his to any of his sons, and he didn’t believe in the ‘junior’ routine anyway. Your son is NOT a new edition of you.

My Dad’s family was overflowing with Thomas Robertses. Lots of ‘em. I don’t know where my middle name, Scott came from, though. I’m not aware of any other Scott in the family tree.

My parents pulled my name from a hat. I got lucky, the other choices were Mark Anthony, Jacob Park, and 7 and 3/8s.
