She’s in junior high! Not the peak of reasoning ability. She doesn’t want to worry her Mom, doesn’t want to admit she did something stupid & paid a hefty price for it & she doesn’t want to have to go to the Dr & have her Mom have to spend money on her mis-judgement.
My initial thought was that the motivation for Heart to hide this injury, whatever it is, should have been given sooner. But if you were to ask me why that would make this storyline better, I don’t think I could give an answer that doesn’t just boil down to personal preference. You do you, comic.
