Riddle of the day: What word in the English does the following descriptions: the first 2 letters signify a male, the 3 letters signify a female, the 4 letters signify a great person, and the whole word signifies a great woman.
Waaay back in the day, I remember knowing a teacher who graded tests by giving everyone 100 points to start with, then taking 1 or more points away for each error found, depending on the severity of the error. Then there was another one who gave everyone 50 points to start with, then adding points for each correct answer and taking points away for each wrong one.
At least the report is due tomorrow. There’s only one way for Nate to avoid the possibility of being sent to Summer School, and that’s to spend all night working on his report on whoever’s the correct John Adams. An all-nighter isn’t really healthy, but what choice does he have? https://www.gocomics.com/bignate/2008/05/23
I would like to see his report, and see how bad it is. I miss the old days, where instead of just being mildly panicking, he’d go nuclear, and copy off of Francis.
3.5/10 Not funny, and there’s only one day left. Pierce should make more wild arcs happen.
Would have been better for you if you had picked Grover Cleveland, Nate. (Oh, that’s right…most history classes never get to Grover Cleveland because they spend half the school year talking about slavery and the Civil War)….
Mrs. Godfrey: You know what I said earlier, Nate! No extensions, no exceptions!
Nate: Groan…
The next day arrives, and it’s almost time for Social Studies. Nate hasn’t finished his report, and he is afraid. He then sees Gina walk up to Mrs. Godfrey’s desk.
Gina: Oh, Mrs. Godfrey!
Mrs. Godfrey: Yes, my wonderful student, Gina?
Gina: I was finishing up my report, but then all of a sudden, both of my dogs came and ate the whole thing! May I pretty please have an extension?
Mrs. Godfrey: Hmm… why sure, Gina! I’ll make an exception to my no-exceptions rule because you’re so perfect!
Seeing all of this, Nate comes up with a plan. He breaks both of his arms and wraps them with a sling. He walks up to Mrs. Godfrey in genuine pain. This can’t go wrong, right?
Nate: Hello, Mrs. Godfrey… when I was walking home yesterday, I fell and broke both of my arms, meaning that I couldn’t do my report… may I please have an extens-
Mrs. Godfrey: NO! NEVER! YOU KNOW WHAT I SAID, NATE! NO EXTENSIONS, NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!! YOU BREAK YOUR ARMS, DEAL WITH IT! YOU KNOW WHAT, BECAUSE YOU ARE SUCH A DWEEB, I’M GONNA GIVE YOU A Z MINUS! YOUR OVERALL GRADE IS NOW ZERO!!!! NOW GET OUT!
Okay, there’s been some confusion about gender, so I figured I’d set you straight. So there’s she-her, he-him, they-them and it. I have several gender fluid people, and I know they exist, so there is more than two genders.
In “Big Nate Strikes again” a novel about big nate, when people ask for extensions Mrs Godfrey (gosh, I hope I’m spelling it right) she says the same thing

Well, the 2nd one is a longer spelling so go with the one that requires the least amount of pen on paper.
