She’s lived 1,500 years. I don’t think much can hurt her.

I wonder about the number 200 for total cholesterol. What I wonder is maybe the number is adjusted for different individuals. I’ve heard that the real test should be the size of one’s blood cells. Small cells spell trouble, whereas large cells are preferable. That might explain why there are those with high lipid numbers that live long without cardio episodes and others with low numbers die of heart attack while still young.

People with low cholesterol have heart attacks too.Mom’s cholesterol is in the high 300’s – she’s 86 and it seems to be working out ok for her.

Yeah. There’s wide variation in how different individuals’ bodies respond to all sorts of factors, yet the medical profession treats us as if we’re all “average” and mostly as if those various factors don’t interact with each other.

Also, if someone has symptoms that can have several causes, it seems that they want to “treat” the most common — or sometimes the easiest — of those “causes”, without testing to determine whether something more dangerous might be the true cause in that instance.

I quit my job May 2020 because I mentioned to my boss that my BP was probably a little high because I couldn’t breathe easily through the frigging mask (who could?) and she told me I was stupid because I don’t check my BP daily. Even though my Dr. has never been concerned about it.
