Well, at least Marty had realistic standards back then, but I can see that this is not what young Marty had imagined his future self. And I can’t believe that his 3rd-grade teacher still remembered the assignment and sent him a letter. That is serious dedication.
7/10 While it’s another strip making fun of Marty’s life choices, which can be sad, the delivery was creative and neat.
Yah. I was going to be an astronaut. Then cancer and pneumonia before I was 13 made me 4-F. But I did get my pilot’s license and MD and had a nice career in paediatric oncology. Now in semi retirement as a GP in a small clinic in a nice small town up north out west.
Poor Marty! He’s such a sweet goober. Fame and fortune aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. Look at all the rich unhappy losers out there who have all the money in the world and are too greedy/sick to share any it, even to the point of stiffing their hardworking employees and workers (looking at you, trumpy). Does forcing a city to dismantle their historical landmark bridge so you can get your newest shiny toy, a $500 million dollar superyacht, make you a better person? No, but giving away billions to worthy causes, like Bezos ex-wife did, does. (So glad she dumped his cheating @$$, and that Rotterdam is saying NO to the destruction of their bridge!)
Marty is a good person, devoting his life to raising his son to be a good person. That’s something to be proud of.
