Time to get a bell to ring at dinner time.

My dog would never wait until 6 o’clock.

I was thinking he was referring to the drink, but that looks more like a brandy than an Aristotle cocktail.

The poor dog will have to wait until the guy is done with the book, which is Aristotle, and drinks his brandy (neat, I think).

Love the stance! I can just see him tapping his little paw.

His next step may be to fling that dinner bowl to remind the guy that it’s dinner time!

If an interesting book is being read, time has no meaning.

I had a dobie who would bring me her water dish if she wanted water and her food dish when hungry. Beagles are always hungry, so it’s best to keep an eye on the clock. Once you take responsibility for a pet, set a schedule and try to keep to it.

You should run away and find a less pretentious and selfish owner.

That is EXACTLY the look our senior (as in, seniority) dog gives me when dinner time is a t hand. My very first dog did him one better — he went into the garbage, fetched an empty dog food can and brought it into the LR when we were late.
