Even those of us without kids realize that.

If I stood on the furniture like that, I would have wished I was back in school.

30 kids for a total of 5 hours a day after taking out recess, lunch, etc. 180 days in the USA. $5.00 per hour per kid for baby sitter wages for first 5 years of teaching = $135,000 a year. $7.00 per kid per hour after 5 years of experience. $10.00 if teacher has an advanced degree. And $12.00 from 10 – 20 years and $20.00 per kid per hour after 20 years. My high school physics teacher had a PhD and loved teaching. He was also a pretty good investor. One day I asked him why he taught when he could be doing other things. He replied. “Over 95% of Physics PhDs work for the government making bombs or other weapons. I wanted to be in that less than 5%.” The notes I took in his class helped me in pre-med. Physics was one of the classes used to weed out students in pre-med. Imagine my surprise when the dean asked me how I got such good grades in Phys. and I answered “Dr K at XYZ High in Silly Valley, CA” and it turned out he, the dean, had been Dr K’s student aide many years before. I think Dr K was a wizard. It seemed like he did not age and knew everything. His classes certainly helped later with my investments.
