@Ling Today’s strip IS funny, the way the warden chooses my avatar again is a picture of Rowan Atkinson grinning because he’s in a good mood like I am , come passerai la vostra Domenicha mio piu meno vecchio amico? our Sunday should be calm , no early morning drive shopping to do or or errands to run we both are in a good mood but worried about my eldest son we will just stay inside the house and keep hydrated till 9.30 when we will watch the Holy mass celebrated by our Archbishop on television, keep safe and a bientot pal
Had to look it up. The Animals were popular south of the Rio Grande in the 60’s but that particular song never made it to the local charts. I understand its popularity in the US had to do with the armed forces during the Vietnam war.

If I was the Sargent, and wanted to be annoying to Andy, I’d put on that song from “The Sound of Music” — My Favorite Things. Just to annoy Andy.

Who recorded that song?
I have a vague memory of Nancy Sinatra doing “Gotta Get Out of this Town” (lousy, IMHO).

Too many Andy can listen to. If England had chain gangs, the choices would be exponentially larger.

“You can go sleep at home tonight if you can get up and walk away.”Given that choice, Andy would stay down.

Next on the playlist: Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash, though I wonder if JC was as popular across the pond.

Steve Goodman’s perfect lyrics for a Country Western song …
“Well, I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison
And I went to pick her up in the rain
But before I could get to the station in my pickup truck
She got run over by a damned old train”
