Shoe is yet another boss that I would not want to work for. It seems the comics are full of those.

Walked right into that one, Cosmo.

Well, Cosmo’s surname is Fishhawk, and he more resembles a grouper than a trout.

Well, I am sure that piece of pie is only going to add to Cosmo’s appeal.

You may not like the way she plays with what she catches if she’s a catbird.

Oh, yeah?!! Well, in case you wondered, with that stepped-on complexion of yours, there’s more than one reason they call you Shoe!

So, if Shoe is the editor of the paper, why is he reading it at the diner? Doesn’t he know what he put in it? Or is he reading something from another company? National Inquirer maybe?

More like a big mouthed bass.

And in the unpublished third panel, Cosmo pushes that cigar right in Shoe’s face!
