Best line ever in a sci-fi movie: “If you could travel to anyplace in the universe, would you come to THIS looney bin?”

Dolphins and porpoises may be the most intelligent. But humans are the more influential (though it’s not always or necessarily in a good way).

Well, if it weren’t for religion holding us back, we would have visited your planet by now. Galileo, for example. And then there was the Spanish Inquisition….

Quiz: Which fish has the largest brain to body weight ratio. And for extra credit name the next largest. Hint: The first is found in Africa and the second in South America.

“It is an important and popular fact that things are not always whatthey seem. For instance – on the planet Earth Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much . . . the wheel, New York, wars and and so on, whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely the dolphins believed themselves to be more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons.” —HHGTTG, Douglas Adams
