Some recent research (sorry, no citation) indicates that motivation follows action rather than preceding it. So the way to get past writer’s block is to just start writing…which may seem kinda catch-22, but you don’t have to KEEP the stuff you write in order to start the words flowing. It might be like that first bit of spray cheese out of the partially emptied can, which is kinda crunchy and nasty but you gotta get past it before the creamy goodness can flow.
