Like Pig, my great aunt hated negative thoughts. Unfortunately, she was psychic, and thus headphones couldn’t help. On any crowded street, she found the negativity overwhelming, and lived her final years as a recluse.

Noise canceling headphones aren’t fast enough to cancel the human voice. They only work on constant frequencies, though the Bose system comes close. You can use any headphones and turn up the music.

In this political climate, I stopped watching the “breaking news” and sensationalism…..they only report what they want and not all facts are presented…BOO HISS! What riles me the most is when they break in a program, stay on for 20-30 min when it could have waited for the 6:00 news! And to boot, the world ALREADY knew it…via the internet hours before…..

Were it not for noise-canceling headphones, airline travel today would be totally intolerable. It’s still a nuisance for other reasons (for crying out loud people, flip flops and pajama bottoms are not appropriate attire for traveling) but at least you can get some peace and quiet.

In the store where I work, I see multiple customers walking around with those things on . . not safe where there are forklifts!
