When we were broke college students, my now-husband sometimes picked flowers on campus for me. I thought it was sweet (with a little element of dangerous) and I think Baldo’s girlfriend would think that, too.

wonder how long the flowers in the park would last if everyone came up with baldo’s approach? you can only smile and shake your head at the cluelessness when you see, for one actual example, a woman walking back to her car parked by the highway after yanking a bunch of daffodils from the ground. there weren’t that many growing there to begin with…
