My mother was one who took your picture whether you wanted it taken or not. I found it inconsiderate and rude for her to do so. After she died, my brother and I found boxes of old photographs that hadn’t been touched in decades because we had to peel them apart which frequently destroyed them. He took a few and we burned the rest.
It’s one thing to know it’s about to happen so you can pull yourself together for a nice looking shot. But those candid shots – not so great.) Though one might argue that those are the ones that show a person in there true state.
