Dad was given a call to adventure and failed. How sad.

Adulthood. Over rated. Do not recommend. 1-1/2 stars.

Hmm—Red’s dad is just as stuck-up as Calvin’s!!

Hey, Red—better get a refill on your Peter Pan pills!!

If Dad had more fun, perhaps he would be more healthy and happy!

Poor Dad, his get-up-and-go got up and went!

“Growing older but not up”………..

And that’s why we all love this strip, we get to live through them and remember all the fun and silly things we did as kids. Just love their summer time fun!

I’m just like Rover! I’ve stayed a perpetual child !

Grown ups can do those things if they want to!

My 8 YO likes me to turn the sprinklers on when it gets hot (like it will be today) He will spend hours running around the yard in them. At close to 62 I have no problems joining him.

And you stay that way forever, Rover!

Never pass up a sincere invitation from a child.

Heck no, I run through the sprinkler with my grandkids all the time…haha just go do it and have fun!

Maybe not parents Dad; but grandparents on the other hand? Yea!

Since when? If we had a sprinkler – AND a lawn – I would run through it with my daughters in a heartbeat…and I’m 57. Whenever I take them to the city pool I look around at all of the moms just sitting in their lawnchairs watching their kids…from inside the pool with my girls…and pity them.

When I was a child my parents had a garden and we children did this, but now I have no garden!!

My daughter got a little snippy once and accused me of hogging the slip ‘n’ slide.

Red and Rover can visit and join the Drabble kids today!!

Getting older is mandatory, but growing up is voluntary.

This grown up still does. DId it this morning watering the grass. Water was cold at 8 a.m., but my dog was giving me the “let’s play” stand, and so “chase me” ran us through the sprinkler at least four times until I slipped on the wet grass. I laughed my head off at myself and my dog just stood beside me, both of us getting soaked.
