Next, do college mascots. The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, has the ‘Geoduck’ as its mascot (a huge relative of the clam).

Our local baseball team is the Yard Goats. They had several choices and THAT’s the one they went with. What the heck is a Yard Goat?

I’m a Yuma, AZ Criminal! High school first met in the Arizona Territorial Prison.

I’m jealous. My high school, in Lawrence KS, had Chesty Lion. The outfit was always worn by a girl; I don’t think there was a connection.
