Right. The “we” should be left to former female Tory Prime Ministers.

Notice Zonker saying he is welcoming the royal family into the 20th century, not the 21st. Time to catch up royals!

The royal “we” indicates that the monarch speaks for the entire court.

Even if certain members of said court do NOT agree with the monarch!!

If you really want to make the point, Zonker, address Her Majesty as ‘thou’.

Don’t touch the royals. Not even if you’re the American First Lady. Someone could legally shoot you.

Zonk uses the commoner “us.”

Somehow, “I am not amused” doesn’t sound as ominous as, “We are not amused!”

Zonk should know she’s Your Majesty, not Your Highness!

regardless of how this ends,they should still take down Neville Chamberlain’s portrait and replace it with Zonker.

As “symbolic royalty”, it is important for the Queen to be able distinguish “we”, the royal symbol, from “I”, a person with her own opinions.

In private, I’m sure she puts on her blue jeans one leg at a time like everyone else. :)

It’s often said that there are three classes of people who always say “we” instead of “I”: emperors, editors, and people who have a tapeworm.
