From yesterday’s comments to QOA: about not being able to tame the foster kittens.

I’m starting to think I won’t be able to tame mom cat, Annie. Maybe she’s been feral longer than I thought. I really wanted to keep her, but I’m not sure I can. I’m not giving up yet, but how long can I keep her in a cage? Should I contact Friends of Ferals and see if they’ll take her, spay her and let her return to her feral lifestyle, maybe as a barn cat? Not the life I would choose for her. I was wondering if she would calm down when she comes into heat again, wondering if she could be tamed while under the influence of hormones or something. Sometimes, she looks at me with a calm, serene expression, then I move closer to her and she hides. Or just hisses at me.

I can hold the tortoise shell kitten in my open hand, but she still hisses at me sometimes. The other 2 kittens don’t want to be touched at all. But if I let Annie go, I wonder if it would be easier to tame the kittens. They wouldn’t be under her influence anymore. I really don’t know what to do.

I love the old strips, especially since I never saw many of them. But I am so excited for new strips.

I talked to Robyn today. She said the kittens are doing great over there. I was so happy to hear that. I was worried.

I thought I remembered this little ploy… loading dock time again!

Very sneaky, Jack. Chesney put you up to this, didn’t he? Looking forward to seeing new Ten Cats comics next week. Of course, Ten Cats is great, new or old. On another note, saw two robins, two dragonflies, a garter snake, a butterfly, two damselflies, and two rabbits while out walking today.
