Even though seagulls know a sucker when they see one, by the third panel the gulls took off again because they found out eating a sand castle isn’t that appetizing. So who turned out to be the sucker in the end?
I believe people build their lives like they build sand castles. They start out making everything as strong and beautiful as they can and then they invite family, strangers and pets to test it.
“We’ve learned how to destroy, but not to create; how to waste, but not to build; how to kill men, but not how to save them; how to die, but seldom how to live.”Omar Nelson Bradley (General of the Army, the last of nine to ever hold the rank.)
My best friend and I would take those small plastic soldiers and put them in forts and buildings we would make out of Lego’s and Lincoln logs. Then we would sit back and bomb the Base with darts. Not those sissy plastic tipped darts but the metal tipped ones. Spent hours doing that. Outside.

I always found the best part of playing with plastic army men was the can of hair spray and a lighter…

When do gulls just walk along? They’re usually aloft and diving on their targets.
