Only after I had seen it did I hear people talking about how annoying/wearying the endless endings were. I actually had to watch the movie a second time to grasp what they were talking about. My own reaction was, and still is, that I just wanted MORE!
Not completely related, but I just finished the game Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II. It’s an RPG that took me over 155 hours to beat because it had too much %^&#ing content. It’s divided into chapters, and after completing the “Finale” chapter, I figured that’s the end. I mean, it’s gotta be. It had around 6 massive boss fights, so that’s all, right? … >:^(
You want more NSYNC after two hours of Lance Bass and Joey Fatone? Okay, watch Justin and Chris do their makeup and talk about how terrible their music is.
Depends on the kind of story sometimes the ending is over no final scene sometimes there is one. Some during the end credits there is an added scene for fun or to push another part of a story along.

This must be OJ saying to those who complain about only occasional appearances by Nancy,
“You want more Nancy???
You WANT MORE Nancy!!!
YOU GOT IT !!!!!!"

Six?? And here the MCU has never done more than five mid/post-credit scenes for a movie (Guardians of the Galaxy 2)! LOL

Why, when I read those cards, do I hear a “SpongeBob French accent” in my head?

I’ve been reading some of Alan Garner’s books. He’s British author well known for abrupt endings. His stories reach their climax and stop.
There’s a joke that if Garner had written LORD OF THE RINGS, it would have ended as soon as Gollum fell in and Mt. Doom exploded. THE END.
But- wait…. what happened to all the characters? Who survived? I dunno. The story is over.

Ted Williams had the right idea. Hit .329 in his final season with a decent amount of power.
