Imagine if she did that today, she’d be in jail for child abuse.

Considering how Moe bullies Calvin at school, he has a good reason to not go to school. But Calvin doesn’t like school because of his preference for chaos over order.

She clearly never did any study on birth control.

I remember a strip in Something Positive where a kid said basically this exact line, and the response was “Alright, we can take you out of school and you won’t need to learn anything else, but then for the rest of your life you will NEVER be able to win an argument of any kind, since everyone else will know more than you. You will never be right and you won’t be sure if other people are lying to you since you won’t really know the truth.”

How would Calvin know the Mom took Shot Put when she was in high school? :P

When I got too tall as a teenager for mom to slap me…she resorted to using her knee in a very strategic fashion. THEN while bent over in pain I got slapped. That combo actually worked in straigtning out my smart mouth.

Someone probably got teed off.
