“Heeeeeeeeeeeere’s Johnny!!!” They had to do a lot of retakes, and used a lot of doors, on that scene because before he was an actor, he was a fireman, so he knew how to crack open a door in two swings, and it wasn’t scary enough for the director.
For those who don’t know: that’s Jack Nicholson, as Jack Torrance, in The Shining. He uses an ax in the climactic scene to break into the bathroom his wife is hiding in.
