Several weeks after I found that nasty leak, my bathroom is finally back in order and hopefully we won’t need any more repairs done, so…yes. I can relate to this. Very much.
(And yes, it is wonderful to be able to use my own bathroom again. :D)
I didn’t see Loaner Cat for three weeks when they were remodeling my bathroom. Her food was gone every night, so I knew she was eating and her litter box was used, but she was having nothing to do with the workers or noise.
“Want your shirts back quickly but still sparkling? Try ‘The Magical Cat Closet Cleaners!’ No harmful chemicals or wire hangers. ‘The Magical Cat Closet Cleaners’ does it right!”
The idea of cat clothes dry cleaners really makes me giggle. I’m also reminded of the character Cat (a humanoid cat) in RED DWARF who licks his outfits clean then irons them.
OT:InuwaI have not yet updated, but on Sat 7/30, Inuwa’s tumors began ulcerating, so she had to cross the bridge. Too much risk of ulcerating a major blood vessel and bleeding out.
Reminds me of a reverse to that scene in the movie My Cousin Vinnie where Vinnie tells his fiancee not to bail him out and he finally gets a good night’s sleep. All to the sound of a prison riot.
In my case, it was the eerie anticipatory silence of a few days between the time the de-roofing crew noisily removed the old roof and the roofing crew began on the new roof. In the old days, we called it “waiting for the other shoe to drop”.

The roofers will have Tabitha, Sir Figaro and their woman’s greatest thanks for stopping the leaks.

Beatrixia: You’re going on your journey Across the River now, Olivia?
Olivia: Yes. I’ve traveled all throughout the world, and now I’m ready for my next adventure.
Elvis-Anum: I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve been Hopelessly Devoted to You since I was a kitten.
Lupinium: Your song Physical inspired me to work on my athleticism. Even if it was a bit risqué.
Puckmosis: Your singing was Magic to us all.
Olivia: Thank you, everybody. Now time to board the Godspeed.
Captain Courageous: Right this way, Ms Olivia.

With my sincere apologies to Paul Simon………..
Hello coffee, my old friend
I’ve come to partake of you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its beans while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams, I broadcast alone
From a desk of manmade stone
’Neath the halo of a table lamp
I found my coffee to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of coffee pot light
It was so bright
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
A fresh pot of coffee from which to draw
That lovely liquid without speaking
My thirst for caffeine slowly peaking
People pouring cups with no voices ever shared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.

Beloved as Sandy, you were a delight
You left us much too soon, and that’s just not right
While you were here you were a shining star
We are missing now the talent that you are
Grief is the word

One of the things I miss most about trips to the BWCAW is the silence.

The car was taken to the garage at 12:30 today. You guys are all wonderful and I will keep you updated!!!!
P.S. I think I have never mentioned here that the car’s name is Kitty. And that’s what I want it to do when it gets out of the shop – purrrrrrr.

The roofers are back today. We didn’t pass the windstorm inspection so they are making it right.

Yes, we all know Puck values calm during beverage intake. Do not mess with him while he is drinking tea.
