I own this refrigerator. Touch the shelf wrong and it springs right off, launching the condiments into the floor. It’s inconvenient but we now store pickles in the main body of the fridge.

The sound of one of the cats barfing in the night used to make me spring out of bed to clean it up. Now I ignore it, go back to sleep, and accept I may find it in the morning in the most unpleasant way..

Just rinse the pickles off and put them back in the jar. No harm, no foul.
