The multiple-times-great granddaughter of Lucretia Borge fondles the old family tea set and wonders what it was like in the old days … So many wonderful advances in Chemistry since then … especially Russian chemistry.
Agnes was starting to get discouraged. She’d bought twenty boxes of laundry detergent and still hadn’t been able to get the gravy boat she so dearly wanted and needed to complete her set.
(Sigh) I’m tired of teal chinoiserie. I think I’ll toss this out and pick up a set of Royal Staffordshire red. Of course then I will need a new peignoir and slippers, new sheets and duvet cover and new table linens to match my new tea set. Well, I guess that gives me a reason to get dressed today. (Sigh)

If something suspicious ever happened to have “accidentally” been poured in her late husband tea, the jury will give a fortune for this pic..

Agnes finally started to realize that what made Aunt Lillian’s tea so delicious was not the tea set, but what she put in the creamer.
