Except the animals at the zoo have more class.

This is the lion, Panthera leo, a member of the genus Panthera. Its natural habitat is the savannas of Africa – which is where it would be if we didn’t move it to this zoo.

Pol — Wonder who would decide the text of the signs? Wait! A whole new government agency! . . . The US agency for the investigation, reporting, and control of the individual habits of American citizens . . . ! — OH. Wait!!. We already have a bunch of those! Drat!!

Well, in the US they have a sign at their house when they’re a predator…

They have the signs, they’re on FaceBook.

I’ve lived on a farm and we never mulched anything. Why do people mulch in August?

They do have a sign, kind-of. It’s called FACEBOOK

Not the same. In gated communities the residents have the keys, in a zoo the outsiders have the keys.

I meant tell outsiders information about the resident.

Sadly, there are quite a few species that would have been totally extinct by now but for the efforts of zoos to keep them alive and breeding. Captivity is the price they’ve had to pay for survival.

Mine would say, “Diurnal. Omnivore. Secular. Peaceful unless provoked.”

I’m not a fan of zoos. They’re like animal prisons. I feel like the animals have been given a life sentence behind bars for a crime they didn’t commit.

I don’t think I’d want to go see anyone who lives in a gated community.

Funny. Also funny, to me at least, we went to the zoo this morning!

Yep, Caulfield, and that’s why I DON’T like zoos or gated communities. Neither animals nor people belong in cages.

What about confederate flags? Curious.

Speaking of animals, where I live, I often see more horses or rabbits than dogs when I go for a walk or drive around. It wasn’t always like that.
