Nancy is smiling in the last panel because Fritzi has been tricked into helping her get used to being bored again at school by giving a big lecture. I just needed to summarize that for myself.
So, I have to wonder if Fritzi’s lecture resembles Elaine Benes “Yada Yada Yada,”or if it’s more liken to Charlie Brown’s Teacher’s " Wah wah wah wah wah wah."
Nancy has it precisely backwards. The retroactive perception of time is based on how much new stuff happens. Your brain just edits out periods of boredom. If you want time to pass as slowly as possible, do as much stuff as you can!

She’s come up with the same idea as Dunbar from Catch-22 by Joseph Heller.
“Maybe a long life does have to be filled with many unpleasant conditions if it’s to seem long. But in that event, who wants one?”
“I do,” Dunbar told him.
“Why?” Clevinger asked.
“What else is there?”
