The first morning I had my dog – she was age 6 – I woke up to a light growl. There had been no earlier sign from her that she could be aggressive in any way, so I opened my eyes and saw her standing on my bed and looking into a mirror…she also once lightly growled at her reflection in the glass covering one of my gas fireplaces. If I show her a mirror, she looks embarrassed and turns her head. I guess she caught on that mirrors are no danger to her. I hope Buckles never does. He has the best facial expressions!

Calvin will do that too whenever he looks at himself in the mirror.

Cats also have a fascination for looking in a mirror.
