One syllable, three letters and STILL, it’s a chore for Marigold to say it somehow?!

I hope it’s Marigold’s turn to experience her friend disappearing like at the beginning of this year.

Marigold just wanted Max to remember that she’s Phoebe’s Unicorn friend

Giving something a name (rather than a description) makes it more real. Maybe she doesn’t want to think of you that way, Max.

Wow, Max is actually capable of annoyance. That, or he’s channeling Phoebe.

I think there should be more moments where Marigold and Max interact and/or where Max gets a special unicorn friend of his own. I would like to see a scene where Max rides Marigold who gives him a lift or something.

I think I saw in a book already where he rode double with Phoebe on Marigold.

You know how many boys would like to have unicorns as friends but aren’t allowed to based on unicorns being considered too girl-ish.

Then again Max’s magic friend Voltina the electric dragon suits him as well.

it IS easier to remember.

It’s not shorter, but it’s funnier.

Max just got demoted from Max to Phoebe’s friend!

And unicorns don’t understand what “shorter” means, so I guess we all have our flaws.

Max. Short for Maximum? (Yeah, I know, it’s Maximillion!)

How do we know this isn’t a robot Max?

AND persnickety if caught in the right mood…

“Phoebe’s human friend” implies she has only one human friend. It also creates distance, implying Max’s lack of friendship with Marigold.
