I think I’ve finally settles on names for the kittens. The black one has been Panther since day one – even before that. I decided a long time ago that the next black cat I got was going to be named Panther, whether it was a male or female. And Panther fits her as she is still a bit of a wild cat. I used Google for suggestions for a tortoise shell cat. Google suggested Carmel, Butterscotch and Pebbles. I’m going with Pebbles. I asked for names for a female gray cat. It suggested Smokie (or Smokey), Cinders and some other names. I liked Cinders, but I want to alter that name slightly and call her Cindy instead, in honor and memory of my good friend (and fellow cat lover), Cindy, who died a couple years ago. She was one of our once a month lunch at the food court people and I really miss her a lot.
Pebbles is warming up to me, even if the other 2 are not. She will even rub against my legs now! Cindy doesn’t hiss at me as much as she used to, but she does run away when she can. But when I do pick her up and pet her, she doesn’t have that wild-eyed look of fear in her eyes anymore. She even closes her eyes in an almost blissful expression when I scratch behind her ears. That was the first step I had made with Pebbles so I’m hoping she’s starting to feel more relaxed with me now. Panther still hisses and fights if I try to pick her up. She may never allow me to pick her up, but I expect to get her tamed down at least somewhat.
@tad1 . Nothing of feathery note here, but my daughter called, all excited that she has a baby opossum in her garden. She and hubby were gushing with pride. Wish I could be there! Dang.

Please don’t yank Oliver off the stage! He’s sweet and entertaining.

I have zero imagination – I would never think up names like little Oliver did.
