Thomios: Sue, do we have enough kibble in the pantry to make kibble pie for lunch?
Sue Chef: Yes. I just heard giggling, so I think we just got another secret clandestine delivery.
Thomios: Right. There’s no telling when we’ll get one of those.
Enter Queen Catshepsut the Golden
The Queen: Chefs, I have a wonderful surprise. There will be a delegation from Japan coming in three days.
Thomios: That’s great. We’ll need to devise a menu and meet with the Royal Procurers. Do they have any specific favorite foods?
The Queen: Actually, they would like to try some of our cuisine. I understand they have some artists among them who would like to meet with our artisans, as well as some dancers and tumblers.
Sue: I think Lupinium is conducting another of his tumbling classes. Maybe they can exchange some ideas.
Thomios: This is so exciting. What could possibly go wrong?
OFF TOPIC: Work – well, it’s finally happened, I start selling on Monday. I’ve asked that instead of jumping into the water, I job shadow one of the trainers while they sell. I’m still missing some passwords for programs I will need, so I’m hoping to get them then.
Okay gang, let’s get this camp out started. I’ll tell the first story:
“Creak”, a sound, faint, distant, but still heard.
“Crack”, something snapping, or being trampled on.
The cat lies in his room, sleeping. The room is silent except for the quiet fire burning.
“Creak”..Just the the house settling, nothing more.
“Crack”, Perhaps some small animals outdoors.
“Whoosh”, Was that the wind?
The cat stands up on his hind legs and peeks out the window. A clear night is all he sees, the full moon brillent in the sky. Laughing at his nervousness, he returns to his nap.
“Creak”, the cat now silently chuckles at the sound.
“Crack”, how could he have been scared of some sounds.
“Whoosh”, must be breezy out tonight.
“Thump”…did that come from within the house?
The cat stares into the fire, trying to calm his jangled nerves.
“Creak”…
“Crack”…
“Whoosh”…will the sounds never cease?
“Thump”…”Thump”…”Thump”…
Closer, he thinks, the sounds are getting closer. He closes his eyes, and thinks of something besides his wild imagination.
“Creak”
“Thump”
“Crack”
“Thump”
“Whoosh”
“Thump”…”Thump”…”Thump”…a pause? The cat moves quietly, slowly, towards the door with a nervous gait. “Thump”…a step back…”Thump”…yes, it’s getting closer. “Thump”…he stares at the door, trying to somehow see through it…”Thump”…he reaches slowly for the partially open door, paw shaking, no longer able to take not knowing…”Creak”, a loose floorboard, near the door outside…”Thump”, he slowly opens the door…
“A scream”
…silence…

.We have a breaking news story here at Breaking Cat News……………………the Man is trying to peel a shaking Elvis off of the ceiling. We now return you to Goldie for the next spooky camp out story.
I’m remembering when Goldie was brought into the BPH and had to be quarantined. There were touching scenes where Puck played card games with her under the door, just like he’s holding paws with Elvis under the door. What a sweetheart!

Awwwwww. Please please please tell me this is based on a real thing Puck and Elvis have done, because I want to believe it is SO MUCH.

Help. It’s too cute. I cannot handle this.
Ricky Bennett about 2 years ago
Elvis is taking a pause from batting paws, and Puck is going to bookmark the spot with his own paw so that they can continue in the morning.

So where is Lupin? Still trying to get through the door?

Thank you for being a friend
Batting paws thru doors and stay there till sleep’s end
Your heart is true, you’re a pal and a real playmate
I’m not ashamed to say
I hope it always will stay this way
When the Z’s raise up, you don’t stand up and go to the couch
And if you threw a paw-bat party
Invited everyone you knew
Well, you would see the highest coffeemuglift would be from me
And before the sleep attacks I would say
Thank you for being a friend

That is just adorable. I was wondering how Elvis being shut in the bedroom would work for nighttime, but I think this is the best solution.

So Elvis is still still stuck in the bedroom. How sweet of Puck to come be with him.
