The more frosting on the cake, the more costing of your health.

I used to scrape the frosting off. Haven’t had a slice of cake in years and I don’t miss it. I did have a brownie a few years ago when a friend asked me to make him some. Yes, they had that very special ingredient…

Almost all cakes have too much frosting on them for this Plugger.

I’m not even the age demographic for Pluggers and even I enjoy the exuberant about of frosting.

Another disqualification for me. I remove most of the frosting, so I can enjoy the cake.

Naked cake with ice cream. Let it melt a bit.

Most of those sheet cakes from bakeries, (or wedding cakes) have lard as the primary ingredient, I’ll pass thank you very much! (I’ll take a hot brownie with ice cream any time though. Especially if it is the corner piece!)

My Dad loved chocolate cake. My mom hated to cook so the cake came from the box and instead of frosting, she would top it with butter. I was a teenager before I learned that regular cake ( as opposed to birthday cake) could come frosted.

Everyone knows that cake is just a frosting delivery system.

I actually don’t care for super thick frosting (and I like PIE much better than cake), but it’s true I wouldn’t complain about it. I might leave a lot behind on the plate, though.

I would rather have the frosting than the cake.

In our later years I have found that husband and I call same foods different things suddenly. To me “Let’s have some ice cream tonight” means put some ice cream in a bowl and eat it. To him it means add chocolate syrup and whipped topping – and as of last week – marshmallow topping. To me that is a Sunday.

There have been others of this lately also – he wants me to make something and I think of it as the basic food that he mentions – he wants the dolled up version and insists (as he does with the ice cream) that it is what the basic term refers to.
