Ever since I was a kid, any time an adult started harping on me about “posture,” they were invariably telling me to change my position to something UNcomfortable. I’d hold that position until they were out of sight and then revert immediately to my former comfortable position (which they considered “bad” posture).
I find the same today. When a chair or other office furniture arrangement is said to be “ergonomic” – that’s code for: RUN! – because it’s designed to hurt. Especially if it includes that gawd-awful concept of “lumbar support.” A better name for “lumbar support” is “speed bump for the back.”

Get a foot rest or find some way to get them flat.
