I have always loved this arc of Lacey befriending Alice. It’s genuinely sweet and speaks to both characters. Lacey before she even mistakes Alice for her sister just genuinely bonds with someone on the polar oppisite end of life with not the slightest trouble, and Alice sees a person needing a friend and is there for her. No ulterior motives, nothing but sharing what little she has.

Betcha Clyde—Lacey’s replacement—won’t do anything to help the homeless!!

I remember during Reagan’s recession, which was the worst crash since the 1929 depression and now outdone by Bush2 in 2008, people on Social Security in the news for needing to eat cat food. It was a lot cheaper than tuna.

Opening a can of cat food – a sure fire producer of the gag response. And I don’t mean ha ha!
