The last of the bucket list of summer was checked off yesterday. We caught up with the Schwann truck and bought a box of root beer float bars. We ate half of them on the way home. Yum. Yes, we are simple like that.

I’m always ready for autumn! My favourite season!

I am so ready for this miserable summer to be over.

It’s too dry around here for mosquitoes in the summer and when the rains come, it’s too cold. I’m fine with this.

Eh… Summer… you can keep it. I prefer Autumn. There are only so many items of clothing I can take off to help cool down before the neighbors call the police. but if you’re cool, you can always throw on another sweater!

When I was a kid my Dad would say…. ‘’ First you have the Fourth of July… and then is Snows….’’ Didn’t really understand what he meant at the time…but as I got older I realize how ‘fast’ time does fly…..

I am very happy to have September arrive in FL. Another 5 or 6 weeks and we can turn off the A/C and have some cool weather.

Why do they look so nonplussed?

More than just a holiday routine.

Let some joy in your life be actually seen.

Then why not try some new position?

Instead of constantly going through motion,

Stand on the edge and dive into the ocean.

“We’ve got to do summer once more!” The sad look on those faces makes this sound like a bad thing.

Summer is still hanging on with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s here in the PacNW. But by Halloween, it will be down in the 50s if the past is any indication.
