I doubt Carol Venema of Cape Coral, Florida even knows she’s mentioned in this strip. Cape Coral is in deep hurt right now. Praying for victims and those helping. It will be a long time before there’s a new garden center.
In many cases, by the time we are a plugger, it is a bit too late to start the sun screening. We needed the sunscreen back when we were younger and near bare at the lakes, if not everywhere we went. And to make things worse, we need a lot more suncreen these days (and not because of global warming nonsense) as we have a ‘bit’ more to cover. I see old folks at the local pool laying out sucking in the sun as much now as we did then. Some folks must get it easier than others. I have even heard that more and more doctors are saying sunscreen isn’t even good for us; just more hype to sell a false product. Who knows these days, but at least we understand that Who is on first – and that is more than most young people know today.
I can’t stand the feel of makeup, lotion, or any other gunky stuff including sunscreen; it all makes me want to claw my skin off! So it’s a sunhat & a cotton kimono jacket for me…

is sunscreen really necessary to wear in a floral nursery?

There’s a line in ancient Greek: “The best adornment, young lady, is character!”

Of course sunscreen very useful for chicken when they crosses the road under hot sun.
TonysSon about 2 years ago
As long as the sunscreen is made of seasoned butter. That way the chicken would be self-basting.

Before there was sunscreen, there were hats and gloves and parasols.
