Clark Kent couldn’t help but interfere. Killed a lot of great headlines that would have earned awards. Super hero but lousy newsman.

Yes but it would’ve begged the question: “How did you know about that since it is 500 miles away?”

Clark was very generous and usually let Lois and Jimmy get the scoops. Also, as the alternate ego to Superman, it was in his best interest to maintain a low profile.

The origin story has gone through many retellings, but I remember one where Clark got his job on the Daily Planet by scooping Lois, Jimmy and everybody else with first “interview” with Superman. In that way, he was able to control what information was published about Superman.

If Clark had written in-depth “scoops” about everything he possibly could have, the ole ’Secret Identity" would have been blown in about a week.

Would have blown his cover. Gotta stay mild-mannered.
