seems that should be a sitcom and not a novel
I suppose the greatest novels about dogs are “Lassie Come Home” and “Call of the Wild”.
Sorry Agnes… but you see, a picture is only worth a thousand words…
FIFTY thousand words is a very short novel…
Most are at least 75,000 to 100,000.
“War and Peace”, I think, is about half a million words, but it’s OK…. you don’t have to go that long for a first attempt.
All I’m saying is… get writing.
Or else you need a LOT more pictures.
“The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski. Read it. It will stay with you for a long time.
I’m glad she changed the subject from kitchen utensils.
now she’s going to switch to a dogged approach…
“The Dogs of Poor”
“Big Head”
“Old Yeller: A Story of My Grandma”
Generic Four-Line Dog Story:
I had a dog,
That dog was a pain in the neck,
The dog died,
That was the best dam` dog I ever knew.
(That outline seems to cover a sizeable majority of dog stories, fictional or otherwise.)
WOW ! Trout likes something !
To Say Nothing of the Dog.
Give them what they want…or sell it anyway.
It helps to have a story idea even if it is just a scene.
